ABOUT THE TOUR:
Actun Tunichil Muknal, better known as the ATM Cave, offers a charging adventure into the heart of Mayan history in the jungles of Belize’s Cayo District.
The hike to the Cave’s portal includes crossing three streams and swimming across a small spring-fed pool. Let yourself be blown away by the sheer size and drama of the cave as you swim, wade and climb deeper.
Travel back in time and see ancient skeletal remains and artifacts in their original setting. The most famous archeological artifact within is the “Crystal Maiden,” a calcified skeleton believed to be a young sacrificial victim. The stalagmites and stalactites inside make for a fantastic geological display.
The ATM Cave is a journey unlike any other if you’re an adventure seeker, history buff, or curious about Mayan culture.
