Whether you are traveling from another location in Belize or arriving at the Placencia airstrip, we are ready to assist you. Please be aware that all International flights fly into Belize City, which is roughly a 3 hour drive from the resort. We suggest booking a local 30 minute flight from Belize City to the Placencia airport.
Please allow us to help you book your flight. We have a close relationship with the airlines and can ensure that any delays or changes in flight times can be accommodated quickly. Complimentary shuttle service to and from the resort from the Placencia airport are offered, but we do NOT offer complimentary shuttle service from the Belize City airport.

Hotel Tax and Resort Fee
- 9% Hotel Tax on Reservations/ Room Stays
- 10% Service fees on Room Stays and Incidentals.
- 12.5% General Sales Tax may apply on some products and services.

Confirmation and Payment Policy
- 50% of room price on booking
- 30% of package price on booking
- Balance due 30 days prior to arrival.
Cancellation Policy
- Any cancellation of reservations or portions of reservations MUST be received in writing.
- 60+ days prior to arrival = 100% refund less US$100 processing fee.
- 31-59 days prior to arrival = 50% refund
- 0-30 days prior to arrival = NO refund.
- No Show = NO refund
- Due to the above it is HIGHLY recommended that all clients purchase ātrip cancellation insuranceā in order to cover a possible cancellation of 60 days or less of initiating itinerary.
- The Belize Collection cannot be held responsible or liable for trip cancellations or altered itineraries due to reasons out of our control. Such as acts of God, including but not limited to heavy rains, flooding, storms, hurricanes or any other natural occurrence. Whenever possible another available tour will be substituted for tour cancellations.
- For Peak Season dates cancellations made after October 1st are non-refundable. No refunds will be given for unused hotel rooms, package portions, tours or transfers for any reason.Ā
- We highly recommended that you purchase comprehensive travel insurance for all bookings done in Belize.
- Umaya Resort and Adventures is not responsible for refunding any portions of any itinerary which the clients do not use.
- Packages, Rooms & Services purchased for The Belize Collection cannot be transferred to another resort.
